It's as much value as you can stomach! For more accurate pricing I would suggest you give them a quick call. I don't recall seeing the pricing on their online menu.
Average at best and expensive for the portions/quality. Baan Thai in Centrepointe is far better. Service is decent but not worth the price at all.
Soooo good!!! Nice knowing that there finally is a lunch buffet again. Staff really nice and food very fresh
If you don't mind paying a higher price for a delicious Thai meal, go here. I had a wonderful Tom yum soup which was probably one of the best I've ever tasted. I also had panang curry which was a perfect amount of spiciness for me. Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow for many nights out here but I do still recommend.
amazing thai food, great customer service, could be a little bit more spicy but that is personal preference
The food here is pretty decent thai fare, if you want spicy you need to order at least 4 or 5 peppers. We went tonight and waited over an hour for 1 order of pad thai and 1 order of pad Kra pow! There were only 5 tables seated in the restaurant, including one table of three left without getting their food after waiting over an hour. When the waitress told a guy from the kitchen he rudely exclaimed "that's not my problem". On top of all of this I watched the same delivery guy come and go 3 times while we were waiting, which means staying home and ordering delivery was faster than actually eating in their restaurant?!!This was my first and last time going to this location
Great service, good food portions and great taste.
Awesome restaurant. The decor is beautiful and accommodating. Very large and spacious. Good place for large parties. Went their with large party and service was excellent. Food was amazing as well. Will be back soon.
Food is amazing, the amount of flavor they get into one drop of their curry sauce is nearly unmatched. They are slightly on the expensive side. However for the quality of the food and the flavor it is worth more than what you pay
My family went to the Green Papaya restaurant on Baseline Road. The food came with peanut sauce and was very tasty. We had a small plate of with medium size pieces of ....with peanut sauce along with Chicken pieces on scurs with peanut sauce Beef with gunger, Shrimp, vegetables and cashews, and one dish served in a dark green dish that looked like a shamrock - very cute. My uncle and I ordered coffee, it was served in a 1/2 cup sized coffee cup it was really good. Smooth. The staff is very good.
Tasty food. Quiet on week nights so no trouble getting a spot.
Food was relatively good but wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
Always fresh, never had a bad meal here
Poor service and food was not fresh
We went for an office lunch. Table was ready for us, food came out quickly and was AMAZING! The presentation of the food was really great but mostly, if was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying it for your next office lunch!!!
This restaurant is very old. Need renovation. Food tastes excellent. Giving four stars mainly for food tastes.
The food rates a four, and the service rates a five, but the prices are really high compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to. Entrees are $15.95 and don't include rice. I've found this to be true of the other Green Papaya locations I've been to.
Good Thai restaurant...
Even though not advertised, they have many gluten free options. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. The restaurant coul use TLC.
Today is Monday, so you're closed, but you never seem to be open the evenings I try to stop by, even when the hours say you should be open. This past Saturday evening for instance.
I really enjoyed the authentic Thai food! This is not fast food! The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere, excellent service, delicious spicy food.
Service was great but the food was terrible! We got green, red curry and pad man kai (sp?), they were all so sweet! The lemongrass tea was not bad. I wouldn’t recommend going here for the food.
Ok but expected more from a restaurant so many people raved about? I am Thai myself and I guess if you have grown up all of your life eating this food then you wouldn't know or what to expect on how these dishes should taste. If I had to compare I would say that The Siam Bistro has got them on flavor and also quantity is much better at the Siam Bistro. To be honest my mother's cooking supersedes both of these places and if you're just looking to get some Pad Thai just go to the Thai Express where it's the same price, better portion and it's done for you in 3-4 minutes! I hope their main location off of Gladstone & Preston has better cooks but you guys have to work on your portions and flavors!
Very tasty food. Spicy or not depending on your preference. Beautiful and varied serving platters . Cozy booths, or tables for more. Reasonable prices. Licenced. Will be back :)
food was delicious as always and arrived quickly. I always recommend this place and introduce my friends to it. Best pad thai and green thai curry around.
This is by far THE best Thai food I have ever had.
The atmosphere, service and food are all good, just they are overpriced. We ordered one drink, one starter, two dishes, two rice, all together with tax and tip, we spent over $80. Especially you need pay extra for rice per person, around $4 per person, this might be the reason I won't go for a second time.
I visited the Green Papaya (Baseline Location) in May 2019 with two friends. We had a really lovely and delicious meal - with each of us ordering an entrée. My cashew chicken had lots of vegetables and was full of flavour. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The real highlight though was their accommodation of food allergies - since one of us has a severe gluten allergy. Definitely recommend, and doubly so if you have dietary restrictions like celiac.
Tasty food great service
Good service and good lunch buffet. Lunch buffet is $18.95 which I find a bit high however the quality of the dishes made it worthwhile.
Good quality, authentic food. There is a buffet, but only Thursdays and Fridays for lunch.
Excellent fresh green curry with tofu and veggies. They catered to special requests and dietary preferences. Very friendly staff. Lunch portions a fair size.
Great food. The ambience was good. The seating furniture needs an update for sure plus they can do a lot more with the interior décor. The staff was friendly and the service was great.
Always a pleasure coming here, best Thai food in the city! Great for everything starting from their complementary deep fried shrimp chips and peanut sauce, to the soups, pad sew & my favourite the Thai basil stir fry. Special thanks to the staff, who have since memorized our orders and are always so welcoming!
Great food. Quite spicy. Gluten free options. Free parking
Green Papaya hosted a birthday party for my family including about 40 guests. They did an incredible job, they were super helpful and the food was lovely. At the end they insisted on packing up as much of the extra food as we could handle. Such great hosts!
First time going to Green papaya. I took the Panaeng (red curry) and the flavour was amazing. I find it expense, specially that you have to pay for the rice separately. I would probably order for take out and make my own rice.
A clean quite place. great food
Food was wonderful and fast. The place can be a bit loud, sometimes hard to hear your companions speak.
This restaurant is along Baseline Rd. which is a busy road. It’s right across from Walmart. We walked in, it was nicely decorated but was rather dark inside. We sat in the corner facing the street. It was fantastic, it had pillow on the booths. It was very comfortable. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. We got the order pretty quick and it tasted delicious. I would return. The staff was super friendly. I had a great experience. 😄
The food was amazing. The staff here was also very nice. And the atmosphere was great. I went here on date night with my boyfriend on a Friday night and there was only 2 other tables. It was fantastic!!
Chicken pad thai was good. Shrimp rolls and spring rolls are way overpriced. 7.50 for 2 regular size shrimp with bread on it is ridiculous. Ordered red curry chicken for take out, 17 dollars, and we didn't get rice. Why wouldn't you include rice or at least let us know that it doesn't come with rice.
Though they discontinued their lunch buffet, it's a great place for a tasty Thai lunch!
Tasty food for a buffet (lunch only) and good price too. Great atmosphere and interior. Friendly staff and enough seating for medium and large groups.
The food was terrible! never go again my friend only ate i didn't and we spent on only 2 dishes and it was horrible
Fantastic service and two of the best Thai dishes I've had... Green Curry and some kind of mixed veggie dish. Apps were delish too.
good restrent
The ambience is marvelous, food is damn tasty and the staffs are so amazing. Best Thai food in Ottawa. Nice decors.Lunch at Green Papaya was Tom Yum soup (hot & sour Lemongrass w/ mushroom. Kaew Wan Pak (Green curry w/ tofu & veg). Thanks 🙏
Wonderful staff, delicious food, beautiful atmosphere. Definitely worth it! ❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's a Thai restaurant and bar with Asian decor. The food was great but not as spicy as I had expected. Would go again and order more spice, and if you like spicy food you would too.
A wonderful evening that we will never forget. It was our first experience at Green Papaya and it didn't dissappoint! The food was fabulous and the service was great! Thank You Green Papaya! We will definitely be back! P.S. The Pineapple Chicken Curry was to die for😊
